APAX Lab Water TDS Meter
APAX Lab Water TDS Meter
8 in stock
Super easy to use, this tool is very useful to get an idea of the general quality of the water you use, but also to check the composition of your APAX blends. It provides a fast, relatively accurate measurement of your water's TDS.
A TDS meter for water indicates the amount of dissolved materials – not their safety, quality or specific type. It works by measuring the water's electrical conductivity: Higher mineral content means higher conductivity. Results are typically displayed in parts per million (ppm).
It is a simple tool that gives you an overall indication of your brewing water's hardness, while not providing specific information about calcium, magnesium or total hardness. High hardness often results in a high measured TDS, but a high TDS doesn't always mean the water is hard.
This meter cannot detect contaminants like bacteria, viruses, lead, pesticides, or other organic compounds and neither does it provide a full analysis of your water.
For use on water at room temperature. Battery operated (LR44).
