The MK Dripper was developed my MK Studio in Copenhagen, whom we have been working with since we opened our café in 2020. Since its opening, we have been using cups handcrafted by the ceramics studio in the Danish capital, which are also available here.
In the 2022 US Brewers Cup, champion Elika Liftee used the MK Dripper for his winning routine. He later won silver at the World Brewers Cup the same year, after having placed 3rd the year before. About the brewer, Elika says: «The MK Dripper is a modern take on a classic design. The iconic flat bottom dripper shape is redesigned to improve flow-rate throughout the entire brewing process. I love that I can grind finer and brew faster in a beautiful and expressive piece.»
Magdalena and her team had been working on the MK Dripper for quite some time, testing and improving it along the way. They designed it with five holes to ensure a good flow, which allows you to use it with grind settings on the finer end, if you choose to.
The MK Dripper is designed to work with Kalita Wave 185 filters and should fit on most standard coffee servers, for example the Tresco Server, which is a great fit.
